I'm taking the Challenge to fight MS!

This November, I am taking part in the 2024 MS Gong Ride!

Since 1981, this iconic ride has raised funds to help fight MS and I'm now part of this incredible legacy.

Why am I fundraising?

It’s quite staggering to think that multiple sclerosis affects more young people than any other chronic neurological condition. The average age of diagnosis is 30 years, and there is no known cure.

Every person’s MS varies, but some of the symptoms are not being able to see properly (or at all), loss of balance, ability to walk, pins and needles, and chronic pain.

Your support will help people with multiple sclerosis receive the vital support, treatments, and services to help them live well at home, remain connected to work, and be part of the community.

Last training ride completed

Friday 1st Nov
29th Oct, last training ride and 9 weeks of training done, got the duration wrong and rode for 3hr instead of 2. Got to the brick pit at Olympic Park this time around.

I am looking forward to the ride on the 3rd Nov. Hoping it all goes as smoothly.

Longest Ride to West Head

Thursday 31st Oct
20th Oct completed 8th Weeks of training, and my longest ride, 82K and 1152meters, probably over did the training ride but was fun riding to a place I have not ridden before.

Today concludes my 7th Week

Sunday 13th Oct
5am start to Brooklyn and back. Some rain and fog for company, but always cool and empty roads this early, which is nice.  74.82k, 946m ascent so getting there.

6 weeks of training done

Saturday 12th Oct
Been training for the last 6 weeks, I might be able to do this after all.  

Have not taken too many pics riding around Sydney City, Berowra, Parramatta, Richmond. It's been long and fun, riding between 45K to 60K building up to 82K.
